SGLT2i - Practical Management

SGLT2 inhibitors were initially introduced as a diabetic drug in primary care before being used in cardiology for heart failure. The use of SGLT2 inhibitors is simple, safe and can be taken with other medications. However, caution should be exercised when prescribing for patients with heart failure as clinical judgment and individualized patient care are important in managing SGLT2 inhibitors.
